Frugalein Doesn't Always Win

Today I ordered this lovely pot. Mikasa claims this is a coffee pot, but it won't be in our house.

No. It will be the central piece for tea parties. I have daughters who are delighted by tea parties, and they have a mother who is delighted by slowly adding to her collection of china. This pot (when it arrives in 2 weeks) will be the first addition to my china stash since 2004 when my mother single-handedly more than doubled my inventory.

I did have a coupon, but Frugalein wasn't satisfied nor will she let me forget this affront to her sensibilities any time soon.

m what i remember of my pottery classes the spout on this pot leads me to believe that it is actually a tea pot. when the spout is low it is b/c the tea leaves float therefore keeping them out of your poured tea. when it is high it is for coffee keeping the grounds which sink out of your poured coffee. this is all before filters of course.

a tea party sounds like fun. Too bad most people I know are coffee drinkers.

That's interesting, Megan. I had no idea that there was a rhyme or reason to it.

the spout explaination definitely makes sense, I could never figure out why one would be a tea or a coffe can, but with that explanaition Megan it is clear was spring water! (learn something every day ;) )
